The Model 500 B and handpiece may be activated at the control panel by selecting "LOCAL" operation, or select "REMOTE" operation for foot control activation. The drill speed may also be selected at the control panel when using the 30,000 rpm handpiece, or on the handpiece rear when using the 25,000 rpm handpiece
